With a focus on creating the ultimate guest experience, the Radisson SAS Hotel in Aqaba started with a whiteboard and the strong desire to find the right partners with the best technologies. They wanted to differentiate themselves from the competition, enlisting technologies and people that would help make the guest’s stay very enjoyable.
After extensive analysis and comparisons, the decision was made to go with a triple-play implementation running voice, video and data over the same network. The infrastructures of the communications solution is supported by the Avaya Communication Manager running on an Avaya S8700 Media Server and Avaya Media Gateways, coupled with HP Networks switches. Approximately 700 Avaya IP Telephones (guest portals) are supported by the communications infrastructure. Avaya MultiVantage Communications Applications provide the Radisson SAS with “intelligent communications” for high-impact and efficient operations.
